Summary

We all, just like St. Augustine, struggle with feelings of restlessness. Things we think will make us happy don't. Pursuits that we think will lead to fulfillment don't. The truth is that our hearts will be restless until they rest in Jesus. And so, in honor of St. Augustine, who is celebrating a feast day this week, let's talk about how we can find rest for our restless hearts.

  • Monday: hear the biography of St. Augustine!

  • Tuesday: Understand that we,  like St. John the Baptist, find rest in God by doing His Work.

  • Wednesday: Understand that we, like St. Jeanne Jugan, find rest in God by giving ourselves away as a gift of love.

  • Thursday: Understand that we, like St. Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus, find rest in God when we accept our true identity in God.

  • Friday: Understand that we, like all the saints, can only find relief for our restless hearts in silence and stillness with God.
