Summary

This week, as we celebrate the Assumption of Mary into Heaven at the end of her earthly life, we are going to look closer at all four points of Marian Dogma: Her Assumption into Heaven, Her Immaculate Conception, her Perpetual Virginity, and the fact that she is the Mother of God. Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Friday, August 18th, 2020. Today is also the feast day of St. Helena of Rome. St. Helena was born a pagan. She married a very powerful Roman soldier,

who eventually became the emperor. However,

0:41.4

when he became emperor, he decided that Helena was not fashionable enough to be the empress.

offered incense to a Roman god for victory in a battle. But today, when things were so desperate,

1:54.2

he actually knelt down and prayed to Jesus Christ. And in that moment, as history tells us, a cross appeared in the sky. And Constantine, he heard a voice say,

2:06.8

under this banner, you will find victory. So Constantine took charcoal and drew crosses on all of the shields of his men,

2:17.2

on the armor, on his own breastplate,

2:19.9

and they went out and they achieved a miraculous victory.

2:24.9

And Constantine was convinced.

2:27.5

He went back.

2:28.3

He abolished the laws that persecuted Christians of the Roman Empire.

2:32.4

He started building churches, and he gave his mother,
