My name is Sir Roland Paterallot, and you're listening to Saturdays with Sir Roland on Catholic

Sprouts where every Saturday we discuss the art of dragons slain.

Over the last month, we've been going through a series

on the five steps to winning the battle against dragons. Step one was to know that you're in a

battle against dragons, that we all have a tendency towards sin, so we must examine our conscience

regularly and know there are dragons out there trying to trip us up. Step two was to study the

dragons, as we did through our whole series on the seven

deadly dragons. The more you know about the dragons, the more likely you are to defeat them.

Step three was to find freedom from dragons through God's grace, through the sacraments of reconciliation,

Holy Communion. We can be healed of all of our dragon wounds. Step four was to have a shield,

and we discussed last week about how the Catholic Church is our guide to protect us and keep us on the right path. She's like a

holy highway to heaven, and if we follow her teaching, she will help us avoid dragons and reach

our destination. Today we must discuss the final step to win a battle against a dragon, and that step is to have a sword, to have a weapon, to fight back.

We are not called just to be on defense. We must go on offense. We must help save souls for the kingdom.

We can't just avoid dragons. We must slay dragons. There are many souls at stake.
