Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Wednesday, February 6, 2019. It is also the feast day of St. Paul Mickey of Japan and his 26 companions that were martyred with him. This week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we are talking about how we need to trust in God's plan, how we are not called

lived, there really were not very many Christians.

2:03.1

The Christian faith had just barely been brought to the island of Japan.

2:10.8

St. Paul, though, and his father both converted to Christianity, and they quickly fell in love

2:16.5

with the beauty and truth of the Christian

2:18.4

Church. St. Paul joined a secret seminary and was busy studying for the priesthood. However, like many

2:26.4

places where Christianity is brought and spread in secret, it was a crime to be a Christian.

2:32.8

The Japanese did not like to see the spread of the Christian

faith because they felt like it was Western influence, that the influences of places like
