Greetings young Squire Sprouts. Today is the 24th day in the six month and the year of our Lord, 2023. My name is Sir Roland Paterlaught, and you're listening to Saturdays with Sir

0:32.9

Roland on Catholic Sprouts where every Saturday we discuss the art of dragon slain. Today we celebrate the

0:38.5

nativity of St. John the Baptist. The church celebrates the nativity or birth of only three people,

0:44.6

Jesus, Mary, and St. John the Baptist. So that is quite an honor for John the Baptist. As you may

1:33.9

from St. John the Baptist was when he pointed out Jesus and said, He must increase and I must

1:39.1

decrease. Talk about slaying the red dragon. That is the type of humility we need to be dragon slayers.

1:45.7

We must give all glory and honor to Jesus. Last week, we talked about deadly dragon dominoes

1:51.0

and how if we don't take humility as a foundational virtue to slay the red dragon of pride,

1:56.2

a domino effect of dragons ensues and we get tripped up by more and more dragons. Let's ask St. John the Baptist's

2:02.5

intercession that we may attain the virtue of humility and that our one desire be to do the most
