Embrace our role as STEWARDS of creation, both for those who are poor and vulnerable in our world and for future generation
Learn about animals, their special dignity and how they give glory to God just be being exactly what they were created to be!
Listen to a few incredible stories of saints who had special relationships with animals.

0:31.2	Hey there, Spouts. Today is Thursday, June 22nd, 2023. Today is also the feast day of some really brave and incredible English saints. Today we are celebrating John Fisher and Thomas Moore. Both of these men died around
0:40.6	the same time. They died in England when King Henry VIII broke from Rome, made himself the
0:48.3	head of the English church, and forced all of the people in England to acknowledge him and not the Pope as the head of the
0:56.7	church and also abandoned their belief in the Eucharist and other specifically Catholic beliefs.
1:03.2	Both John Fisher and Thomas Moore refused to sacrifice their belief in the Catholic Church,
1:10.1	knowing that our church, the Catholic Church,
1:12.8	is the true church founded by Jesus Christ, that the Eucharist is the true presence of Jesus,
1:20.1	his body, blood, soul, and divinity. And they are willing to die rather than say that they did not
1:26.7	believe these things. Now, St. John Fisher was a
1:30.9	priest who refused to break with what he had vowed to profess and teach as a priest, and he was
1:39.1	executed. St. Thomas More was a father. He had several small children. He was a lawyer. He had been active in government, and he, in fact, was a close friend of King Henry the 8th. He resigned when King Henry the 8th began to take over the church. And eventually, when he refused to acknowledge the king's new wife, after he divorced his former wife,
2:03.4	he was executed. We recognize both these men, St. John Fisher and St. Thomas Moore, as martyrs
2:10.6	for the faith. Now, this week we have been talking about the created world, our obligation to be
2:17.1	stewards and to see this as a gift.
2:19.2	But before we return to that, please join me in praying the come Holy Spirit prayer.
2:24.9	In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, amen.
