0:43.8	Hey there, Sprouse. Today is Monday, February 13th, 2020. This week, we are talking about the big challenge of being Christian, which is forgiveness. But before we get there, let's together pray the anima Christi that we are memorizing this month as part of the Be a St. Kids Club.
0:47.2	In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, amen.
0:50.5	Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
0:52.6	Body of Christ save me.
0:58.8	Blood of Christ inebriate me. water from the side of Christ, wash me.
1:07.0	Passion of Christ strengthened me. Good Jesus, hear me. Within your wounds, conceal me. Do not permit me to be parted from you. From the evil foe protect me, at the hour of my death call me,
1:14.9	and bid me come to you to praise you with all your saints forever and ever. Amen.
1:21.9	So this month in the B.S. A. St. Kids Club, our patron saint is Josephine Bakita.
1:30.5	She is an incredible saint. She has many lessons to teach us, but perhaps the most profound lesson is that of forgiveness. If you were
1:37.3	listening on her feast day, I told you about her biography, how she was a slave, she was
1:42.8	terribly mistreated. But in the end, when she was a
1:46.5	religious sister and others asked her what she would say to these men who kidnapped her,
1:52.0	forced her to be a slave, abused her all these years, what she would say to them if she confronted
1:57.1	them. She told them, in fact, that she would kneel down and kiss their hands
2:01.6	because all that they did to her brought her ultimately to her vocation as a religious
2:08.4	sister and to Jesus in the Eucharist. Now, it's easy to hear a story like that, and we should be
2:16.6	inspired to practice forgiveness as boldly,
2:19.3	but it also might lead us to misunderstand forgiveness. So we're going to talk about this.
2:25.8	And in particular this week, we're going to be talking about forgiving other people when
2:31.1	they harm us. We also wrestle oftentimes with forgiving ourselves for things,
2:37.4	and that's a little bit different. Very important, but a little bit different than what we're
