Hey, Sprouts. I'm Anthony from the Lion and Lamb Book Club, and we're back with another episode of the podcast to finish up this joyful week, this week on joy.

We've been talking about some really important models of joyfulness.

Joy is something that we get when we give the gifts God gives to us to others.

We've talked about Juan Diego, who gave his spiritual gifts to the people of Mexico,

and good King Wenceslas, who gave some of his material gifts to those poorer than him. We talked about Laura Massey,

who gave the gifts of her talent to her students, and St. Martin de Poris, who gave gifts

of empathy and understanding to the mice. Today, we're talking about another example

of a queen who became a saint by giving to the poor and to the church.

I'll bet you didn't know that there were queens who were also saints. There are actually a lot of

them. Because Christ is the king of the universe, and because every Christian is a part of his family,

that means that you are kings and queens in his kingdom too, just like all

the saints in heaven. Now, St. Adelaide became a saint because, though she was a queen

over the whole Holy Roman Empire, she also knew that the most important way for her to be a queen
