Hey there, Sprouts. I'm Anthony from the Lion and Lamb Book Club, and this week we're talking

about joy. That's right, joy. We've talked about where joy comes from and how to get it.

Joy is the feeling where everything is right in the

world, where even though there are hard things in your life, you still want to rejoice. It's deeper

than the pleasure you get from really great food, or from getting to play your favorite game on your

iPad or computer. Those feelings pass really quickly, and they don't last. Joy is much deeper and it

comes from sharing those gifts that you've been given by God with other people. So we've talked

about Juan Diego and how he gave the roses and the image that our lady gave him to the bishop.

We also talked about good King Wenceslas, who gave his food and his

wine and firewood to a poor peasant on a cold day. But today, we're going to talk about someone

who gave a different kind of gift. We're going to talk about Laura Bassey, a super smart

Catholic professor and mother of eight. Now, I know that all you kids are

thinking a lot of thoughts about what you want to be when you grow up. Astronauts, princesses,

teachers, garbage men, and priests are things I hear a lot. But you know, sometimes we don't
