Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Thursday, September 29th, 2020. Today is also the feast day of the Archangels. But before we talk about them, let's pray the morning offering, which Blessed Carlo Acudis has challenged us to

memorize this month. In the name of the Father's Son, Holy Spirit, amen. Oh, Jesus, through the

Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings this day,

for all the intentions of your sacred heart, in union with the

holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, for the salvation of souls, the reparation

of sins, the reunion of all Christians, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father

this month, amen. So, the FISA of the Archangels Holy Father this month. Amen.

So, the Feesay of the Archangels. Let's talk about the Archangels. We have three. Can

you name them? Here they are. We have Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel. And according to tradition, each of these angels have a unique role. The archangel Michael is the warrior, the leader of Hemen's army. We believe that he is the one that leading all of God's angel army

cast Satan and his followers out of heaven.

Gabriel, we know as the messenger.

A couple of times he came with important messages.

The most important of all was when he appeared to marry at the enunciation and proclaim

that she would become the mother of God. St. Raphael is probably the one that you don't know about as

much. He appears in the Old Testament and we know him as the traveler. Now, we celebrate these archangels in their profound service to God and service to us.

We know, of course, that there are other angels, that there are many, some of them simply surround

the altar of God in perpetual praise and adoration of him. We also have the gift of a guardian angel that watches over us.

So let's talk for a minute about angels. Now all week we've been talking about the gift of the

Holy Spirit, which is fear of the Lord, which enables us through God's gift to really fear damaging our relationship with him,

but then also instills in us a sense of awe and wonder when we really remember the reality of what's happening at Mass.

And because of these things, it promotes us to be obedient to what God has asked us to do.
