Lights Out Library. And I have a great story to tell you.

Tonight we are going to explore the history of various ancient or at least old mysterious objects

that are called out-of-place artifacts.

They are considered out-of-place because they were found in unusual contexts,

or suggest a level of technical advancement from ancient cultures

that challenge conventional historical chronology,

or sometimes because they hint at contacts between cultures that were not

thought to have ever been in contact.

In other words, these are artifacts that should not exist, should not exist provided they are real and were correctly dated and appraised, as this is

generally at the core of their mysteries. Fakes and hoaxes abound in this field. I will tell you about

various cases of forgeries or biased interpretations

that sometimes made news for a short period, or a long time.

Some of them retained a bit of fame, even after being debunked,

like the so-called crystal skulls, supposedly from
