The cool November air during the day was a firm reminder that the summer was over,

and that soon it would be time to prepare for the winter once again.

The winters in West Virginia weren't terrible.

I've heard of worse places, after all.

Still, they were cold. It was on his work, grave digging.

That was the job of around five men who were tasked with completing a grave site back in

1966.

It was expected to be uneventful, like most jobs that they had to do.

Little that they know that they would be witnessing something bizarre,

that they were about to place their little town of Point Pleasant on the map.

Your head to the ground, a shovel in your hand.

The faster you get this done, you thought,

the faster you could go home.

Suddenly, off into the distance, through the wind,

you hear a stronger rustling sound.

Sounds of branches breaking.

There is something in the trees.

Everyone looked up and to the right, and there it was.

A dark, shadowy figure in the shape of a man.

Who could it be?

Then, without warning, he lets go of the tree branch and spreads an enormous set of wings,

lifts into the air and flies right above you.
