Today's podcast episode is going to be coming from cruising pod. Cruising Pod came on the show to talk about

should have been gay for cheers. We had so much fun. Their show was all about the last lesbian

bars in the United States. They went across the U.S. and hit every single lesbian bar they could find, interviewed the regulars, interviewed the bar owners.

It's a really, really awesome, very, very well-produced show, which I love.

In this particular episode, this is going to be stop number 16, which is called Pearl Bar. Located in Houston, Pearl Bar is their second stop in Texas. Check it out. I think it's safe to say it takes most people a while to find their purpose in life. Most young adults are still working that out, and some never do. But Julie Mabry figured it all out back in high school.

I always wanted to own my own lesbian bar since I was 16 years old. Today, Julie is the owner of

Pearl Bar in Houston, Texas. At 16 in the early 90s, Julie was just a closeted kid growing up in San Antonio.
