And Zach Taylor today in his press conference coming off the bye week in the first full practice

in the Bengals preparations to take on the Las Vegas Raiders discussed two starters that have emerged or secured their spots in roster

battles that we've speculated about a little bit and was pretty firm about the status for this

week at least that it's going to be Hakeemad Energy. It's going to be Eli Apple. So disillusioned

yourself of the notion that Eli Apple is going to have to fight for his job,

because to me it sounds like that job for now with Trey Wayne still working his way back on

IR is secure. Starting corner right now. He does what we ask him to do. I don't know who's got him

on fire. You know, it's, we expect our guys to play at a high level. And Eli's got a short memory. You know, if you give up a play that corners are going to give up, he does a great job kind of putting that away and moving on the next play. And that's critical. You know, it's one of the hardest positions to play in all football. It's one of my wife's favorite things to per se. And it's true, you know. And so, you know, I don't envy the position those guys get in, but he does a great job.

He plays with a high degree of confidence, and he's done some really good things for us this year.

And those other guys have roles that they start to work their way into.
