And today, I want to preach a sermon called Crossing Over.

Turn to your neighbor and say, crossing over. How many guys know

that in order to step into the promise of God, you have to cross over into that land.

Right? This is a common theme in scripture. And when you cross over into God's promise today, I want to talk about, what does that actually look like? What does it look like to cross over? Yes, we kind of know that, you know, it's God's promise. It's by faith. We step into the land that God has given us,

and we step into the promise and the blessing that God has. But I want to talk to you today

what that looks like from the point of an identity shift. Because how many of you guys know

that when you step into a new season, there's a change that happens in your identity?

Abraham.

Abram was Abraham.

When God gave him the blessing, when he had that shift of identity, the blessing was released.

It was also when Sarai or Sarai, however you say it, was changed to Sarah.

Saul, when he encountered God, his name was changed to Paul.

Jacob, his name was changed to Israel.

Oftentimes, in Pastor Rickard this last Saturday preached a really amazing

message called name change. And it's honestly like a perfect little setup for the message that I

want to speak today because when you step into the new season that God has for you, there's an

identity shift that has to take place. There's an identity.

God has to change, and oftentimes that identity shift is in the form of the name. It was in the

Bible, right? And that's why Jacob's supplanter went to Israel, which means God fights. Or
