0:40.1	I'm in a cafe in Hy Park in Chicago, listening to a radio as Richard Nixon announces his resignation.
0:50.0	It was like, oh my god, corruption exists in the United States at the highest levels.
0:55.4	In fact, August 9th is his official day of resignation.
0:59.3	But on August 8th, 2022, something extraordinary happened.
1:07.2	The FBI searched former president Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago Resort in Palm Beach, Florida,
1:12.4	which is where he lives.
1:13.4	It's his primary residence.
1:14.8	And according to people familiar with the investigation, the search had to do with Trump's
1:19.3	handling of classified documents, including any that he may have taken from the White House.
1:24.9	I just don't even know why you would do that.
1:28.4	It's a huge, huge sign that the Justice Department is escalating their investigation into Trump.
1:35.2	I put on my Twitter.
1:36.2	I was like, you know, this is what Nixon resigned.
1:38.4	So the corruption has always been here.
