Father Luke, thank you for joining us again for another episode of the crisis in the church

series. And last week we were talking about Americanism and we're going to be continuing on the same theme today.

So for our listeners who may not have seen last week's episode or just want a little bit of a refresher,

could we recap a little bit of what we were talking about?

Oh, of course.

So broadly speaking, where we began last time time was to look at the question of Catholicism, the American context.

We made a point of course noting that Americanism in so far as it's an error does not have anything to do necessarily with a proper and well-ordered patriotism to our native land,

or rather a series of ideas and doctrines that, in one way or another, are very well tied to the

liberalism and the ultimately the modernism that has afflicted society and ultimately the church.
