The church was first weakened by several key events in history.

Even then, it stood up against liberalism for hundreds of years, until the windows of the Vatican were opened up, purposefully, to this supposed new springtime.

We're back with another episode of the Crisis in the Church series, episode six, and our third time

in a row with Father Ruter. How did we get so lucky, Father?

Well, probably I didn't prepare well enough to get all synthesized into two,

so I thank you for getting me a little more time.

Absolutely. Any time. Well, we're going to be talking today about liberal Catholicism,

liberal Catholics, how that works, how it doesn't work. But before we dive into that,

could you give us just a brief recap on where we left off last time, Father?

So we ended with the great Cardinal below, who told us that a liberal Catholic is a contradiction in terms.

So we went through already what is a liberal.

And the Cardinal says to be a liberal Catholic is a contradiction. And he tells us that's really his absolute incoherence to be a liberal

Catholic. Because to be a liberal is to liberate yourself from a certain order established by God. And

...
