We're going to start off with a bang,

literally. Apparently, the U.S. government can extricate a head of state from his well-fortified

compound in Caracas, Venezuela, and keep the suspect alive. But the same federal government

cannot conduct an ice operation on American soil in Minneapolis without killing an unarmed 37-year-old

woman in a Honda pilot. Meanwhile, the presidential PEP secretary, Caroline Levitt, staged her first

press conference of the new year. And while the world is worried about escalating tensions

between the United States and Russia, Levitt began her briefing today telling us the world is now safe from children getting transgender surgery.

Today's top story is a disturbing one. This morning in Minneapolis, an immigration and

customs enforcement officer shot and killed a 37-year-old woman. Federal officials

describe the shooting victim as a domestic terrorist. Witnesses say that's a lie. Multiple people recorded videos of

the event and posted them to social media. One user posted this clip of the confrontation.
