But first, have you ever been going about your business when one day out of the blue

you suddenly see your father or grandfather standing before you,

even though you know he's miles away, only to

later discover that at that moment, he was experiencing a health crisis or even in the process of

dying? If so, you've experienced what's known as a crisis apparition. They've been reported

throughout human history. They've been scientifically studied for over 100 years,

and there are many variations on this phenomenon. So what are crisis apparitions? Who has them?

And what have scientists discovered about them? That's what we'll be talking about on this episode of Jimmy Aiken's mysterious world.

So, Jimmy, what are we talking about today? What is a crisis apparition?

Well, an apparition is when something appears. In fact, that's where the word apparition comes from.

Something that appears is an apparition, like the apparition of a saint from heaven, or the

apparition of a ghost, or even the apparition of a living person. That's something we talked about

back in episode 210 on the haunted house of Marin County, which was a case that involved the
