Summary

Criminal defense attorney Shelley Levisay was a powerful force to be reckoned with in the courtroom but in her personal life she was being coercively controlled and abused by her boyfriend. In Levisay’s memoir “Love is Not Always the Answer” she writes about how this relationship took her to places she never thought she would go & would forceher to face challenges she could have never predicted she would have to conquer: not as a lawyer but as a criminal defendant charged with harboring a fugitive & lastly as a convict fighting to retain her legal license.
