Listen. William Palmer always did that when he walked past the tombstones in Roogeley Cemetery.

He ran his walking cane across the closely spaced tombstones as if there were a picket fence.

And he whistled a jaunty tune as if he didn't have a murder in his heart.

It might concern you a little that the tombstones were so near to one another.

Well, it so happened that the path William Palmer took was through a section dubbed the popular section.

A segment devoted to the turning into dust of folk in the lowest income bracket.

William Palmer is using this path because it's a shortcut. He's anxious

to see his sweetheart. He carries candy for her and poison for her husband. Thoughtful man.
