Crime Alert, I'm Nancy Grace. Breaking Crime News now. When Leon County, Texas sheriffs get a missing

person report for a mom, Mahogany Washington, and her eight-year-old son, they immediately suspect

foul play from the boyfriend, the child's father, Michael Davis. He's got an extensive criminal

record and violent tendencies. Deputies search his home and find the boy unharmed, but then discover Mahogany's remains.

Nancy, family members had not heard from Mahogany in nearly two years, but due to their

usual low contact, did not report her missing until just a few months ago.

Washington and Davis had been together for more than 10

years despite friends and family's distaste for Davis. After learning of Washington's death,

friends took to social media to express their heartbreak, one addressing Davis said,

she trusted you even though her family didn't. Investigators have not revealed how Washington

was killed or how long ago she died.

thief speeds away. Police eventually catch up to the truck using its own GPS device,

flees on foot. With the help of a canine, Forrest Gwante 29 is handcuffed for car theft, reckless endangerment,

eluding, hit and run, and surprise, possession of meth.
