McKinley Louisma picks up his girlfriend, Melody Hoffman, for a date.

She's surprised to see he's brought a friend with him.

Moments later, Dakota Van Patten is helping Louisa bind Hoffman with duct tape and rope.

The men throw her in the trunk of their car and take her to an Iowa lake where they beat,

stab, and slash Hoffman and strangle her dead, dumping her body in the water.

Nancy, it's unclear what spurred the attack on Hoffman, but Louisma and Van Patten reportedly

were involved in the same crime a month prior.

The pair allegedly beat a third man and were both charged with assault, then released on Bond.

Investigators found Hoffman's phone case and Apple watch in Louisa's car.

Data from the watch revealed the moment Hoffman's heart stopped.

Joshua Whingenroth advertises drone surfaces to hunters who have wounded a deer

and are struggling to locate it.

Whingenroth uses a thermal camera to locate the deer in question

then switches to a normal view to make sure the animal is really dying.

If the deer looks like it will live, he doesn't want to disclose the location and the hunter agrees to hunt

the deer another day.

Pennsylvania game officers view this practice as, quote, part of the hunt, and after a sting

operation, confiscate the drone and a jury

convicts him of two counts of illegal electronics during hunting.
