Summary

Devon is a PhD candidate in biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of Miami who is developing point of care diagnostics for remote communities to manage disease spread. Devon goes into what it's been like creating diagnostic technologies for COVID, the contrast between academia and industry when comes to her research area, and breaks down the difference between biochemistry versus molecular biology and what is so dang cool about them! She also shares with D how she ended up in her field, the importance of introducing science to girls early on, and what's next for her after graduation.
