Summary

I found an old newspaper article in one of my antique dressers that showed what the value of real estate was in St. Petersburg, FL in 1946.

Digging a little deeper and looking at what the value of those same properties are today was astounding!

What's up, everybody? Welcome back to this week's segment of the no limit minute. And I actually

0:11.2

found something really cool this past week. And so I wanted to tell you guys a little bit about it.

0:17.4

If you're following me on social media, you may have already seen it. But for some reason,

0:20.8

the algorithm was not very satisfied with the way that I worded my post. And so a lot of people

0:26.3

didn't actually get exposure to it. So I thought I'd talk about it here as well. Because I really

0:31.3

didn't think it was as very cool. And it's a great example of the true value of buying and holding

0:39.6

real estate long term, which is most of you know, you know, it's pretty valuable. You've seen the power

0:45.2

or you've gotten intrigued somehow, which is why you're listening to the show anyway. But this is

0:49.7

1:04.0

this antique dresser that we had, I was looking up more about the dresser and potentially looking

1:13.6

at how much we could possibly sell it for trying to find some more data on it. And then of course,

1:18.4

in the process, you know, taking photos of the dresser, I opened up the dresser and pulling

1:22.4

pulling out drawers and looking at stuff. And I found an old newspaper article. It's actually

1:29.2

a couple of different old newspaper articles. But one in particular was the real estate section

1:36.0

of a 1946 print that was printed in St. Petersburg, Florida. So it's the market specifically of

1:45.3

St. Petersburg, Florida. And of course, after reading through it, after reading through the real

1:50.3

estate section, that was very intrigued to find out that you could literally buy a vacant lot

1:56.9

in 1946 in St. Petersburg, Florida for as little as $450. You could buy a single family home

2:06.3

for as little as $6,000. You could buy a luxury home on an island in St. Petersburg, literally

2:14.7

a luxury home on an island for as little as $10,500. You could buy a 60-unit trailer park or

2:24.0

mobile home park RV park for as little as $35,000, 60 units. And you could buy a 20-unit complex,
