Light shines generous and prismatic.

Cloud-speckled sky stretches east and west and north and south in atmospheric embrace.

And then divine words thunder through the nascent atmosphere.

Let the land produce vegetation. And you can almost hear the earth grin. The soil bursts open like lips. Daisies escape like laughter. There has never

been a flower until now. Petal, pistol, perfume, all of it just tumbled out of the mind of God. Orchids like divas,

proteas like finger-cuffed orbs, long-tongued lilies, singing of spring, sun-flushed tulips, golden-crowned

daffodils, poppies made of scarlet tissue, foxgloves stacked into towers of fuchsia,

jasmine in shining scented spirals.

Grass opens its blades like books, telling soft stories across the plains, introducing a new

world of green.

Moss's velvet stone, vines creep and wrap and reach upward,

thirsty ferns, knobbed with spores, dagger and curl.

Father, Almighty, Abba, pours forth unending ideas.

Spirit, comforter, intercessor, infuses every word with power,

and the sun, the word, the Christ, gives shape to the impulses, executes the vision, sculpts

the world.

The triune Yahweh turns now, perhaps, to the gathered, breathless throng of angels.
