Let's look at day one.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

The earth was formless and void, desolate and uninhabited.

Remember, that's what we told you that means.

It was desolate and uninhabited.

It hadn't yet been shaped or inhabited by any living thing.

And it was completely engulfed with darkness.

At the earth, it says, was covered with the deep, covered with the water.
