Welcome to the relaxing bedtime story of creation by God's Word.

Get comfortable and hear how it was in the beginning.

Your loving God, existing for all eternity, made everything from nothing by his word, and it was good. So let go of your

worries. At the command of God's voice, the sun and the earth formed. Plants and animals came alive.

God is in control of your life and God is good.

Now close your eyes softly and take a deep breath.

Get cozy and let your whole body relax.

Let your surroundings fade away as you imagine yourself watching the beginning of God's magnificent creation.

Let's pray.

Creator God, how wonderful are your works. The heavens declare your glory. Even the rocks and

trees cry out your goodness. By your very breath, your very very word all things came to be how beautiful you are my god and my

savior i ask for your presence your peace and your perfect rest tonight. In Jesus' holy name, amen.

Now imagine you are there in the beginning. You float in the nothingness that surrounds you,

yet even in the nothingness that surrounds you. Yet even in the nothingness, the fullness of God is present,

the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father has authority over everything in the entire

universe. He is there as the orchestrator and director of all things.

Jesus, the Son, is there too.

He is equal with the Father, yet he does nothing without the father's direction. Jesus is the word from the beginning.

Hovering over the vastness of the universe, over the formless elements of the earth, and over the waters is the

Holy Spirit. The Spirit's love, joy, and peace are

endless and eternal. As God hovers over you tonight, you sense his love and his peace deeper

than ever before.
