Hey everybody welcome back to Cold Case Murder Mysteries. I'm your host

Ryan Kraus steering this car into oncoming traffic once again to get an up close and

personal look into the psychology of one of the more baffling mysteries in recent

years the disappearance of Lauren Spearer after a night of heavy drinking and possible drug use, the 20-year-old Indiana University student

suddenly vanished in the early morning hours of June 3rd, 2011, the last sighting of her allegedly taking place in an intersection near

her apartment. But in a days, months, and even years since, there's been no sign of Lauren,

alive or dead.

Worst yet, while the police have identified multiple persons of interest in the case,

suggesting foul play could be involved,

that pursuit has led to more questions than answers. All of which

is to say nobody knows what happened to Lauren Speer except for those involved in her disappearance.

And if it was a tragic accident,

one in which Lauren succumbed to circumstances created by herself,

then no one knows the truth.

But there's also a middle ground on these ideas, one in which Lauren took actions that led

to her death, but due to liability, her body was quickly discarded.

So what we're going to do is dive into the situation at hand

looking at the players involved in addition to their movements to try to establish a narrative

for what most likely happened. This is one of those cases that lead to down a few roads that all dead end eventually,

but those roadblocks mean the obstruction of the culmination of one of them is nothing more than a facade created to conceal the truth.

That means we want to look for the appearance of redirected light, and more specifically,

who seems to be doing it with regularity to control the story.
