Visit us at www dot the underdog sports.com. Come. shot. This week Smalls and I talked to Kevin Driscoll, assistant men's basketball coach at Loyola in Maryland in the Patriot League.

And Driscoll is a guy that we know pretty well that we've known for, man, maybe 10 years now since we both

worked two group as freshmen and sophomore in college, freshmen and sophomores in college.

And I think I texted Smalls in the middle of the interview and I said

It's amazing how much Kevin has changed in the 10 years that we've known him so I I don't want to give way too much of this because I really really enjoyed it and I think for young coaches this this one is amazing

Because we talk about scouting we talk about exes and owes we talk about watching film like things that we really haven't dealt into, but I don't know

Smalls. Driscoll is a great dude, right? Like he's just the best.

Yeah, he's a good dude and yeah, I think you're totally right about you know changing I think that's

just natural for a lot of people maturing but also kind of growing into their

own life and their career and things like that.

One thing I found really interesting, he kind of spoke about, I won't give it away at all,

but he spoke about the process of calling different coaches and you know trying to get to that next opportunity or to that opportunity of coaching and in his case it takes call, like for someone to call you back and leads you down a different direction.

So, you know, sometimes it might get tough and you know, you're not getting any responses from coaches or anything like that but sometimes it takes

one and that's the right one.

And in your school's case, that's kind of the coolest story that I hadn't heard and that's makes the episode I think I just think it was

awesome for young coaches it's kind of cool because a lot of people a lot of different coaches

currently have that type of experience.

And it's kind of really neat how the coaching community kind of does that.

Yeah, I remember when our buddy Dutch Gateately who works with the Spurs now was

was graduating I was finishing his masters at Temple he was a GA and I was
