Summary

Most people think luck is something that happens to you β€” but Scott Trench argues you manufacture it through systematic preparation and calculated bets. This Friday Roundup dissects Scott's journey to financial independence and the tactical philosophy behind "creating your own luck." Scott's perspective is that luck sits at the intersection of preparation and opportunity β€” not random chance. He shares how reducing living expenses through house hacking and alternative transportation created the financial runway to take bigger swings. The conversation moves through setting high expectations, the relationship between discipline and freedom, and why helping others succeed accelerates your own goals.
