The kids were all around playing with their toys on the floor.

I remember thinking that it was a inviting home just because she lived there, but it

wasn't a perfect home.

And she took her arm and she kind of, I don't know how to describe this, but she placed

it flat on the table and she pushed all the toys off into the floor right where I was

and she looked at me in the eyes and she said, just imagine you and I get to share this

hour together.

I am so happy that you're with me.

And I'm so happy to have Sally back to share her inspiration to talk about her new book,

The Life Giving Home, but more than just talking about the book, to paint a picture of

what our home can be and that it doesn't have to be perfect.

I think we know in our head it doesn't have to be perfect, but really recognizing the power

we have to create a space where people can come into it.

Our family can feel it.

The sense of belonging, the sense of I want to share this space with you and be with you

and also to be inspired to go out and to do big things because of the beauty and what

you have put into your home.

And it doesn't take much energy.

It just takes a shift in your perspective.
