Hello and welcome to another episode of Deep State Radio.

I am your host David Rothkoff and I am coming to you from an undisclosed

location in a bunker somewhere, let's say in the New Jersey area. In the

Washington DC area we've got Rosa Brooks of Georgetown

University Law School. We have Ed Luce of the Financial Times and we have David from a senior editor at the Atlantic

and author of the very good book which if you haven't gotten it you should go and

pick it up, Trump Ocracy, which grows more timely with each passing day, even

as other books come into the news.

We'll get to some of those other books in a minute, but you know, given the nature of life on planet Washington at the moment,

you know, yesterday's news is quickly overtaken and often forgotten and I found the

McCain funeral to be sufficiently noteworthy that I don't want to just skip over it as of yet.

And David, I know you've got some background as having written speeches and also writing about this kind of thing.
