All right, so this episode today is one that Josh has wanted to do for a hot minute now.

I think it's going to be one of the more fun and informative ones that we've done in a little

while because it's going to be drawing back on years and years of experience

at Josh and Chris have covering recruiting. This is a podcast dedicated to the craziest recruitment stories.

Basically in your guys time covering recruiting professionally,

whether it's been at Knowles 24-7 or previously.

So, fellows, let's get going.

Josh, I want you to dig deep here,

laid down the craziest recruitment you've covered.

Man, there's been so many and we're talking before the pod. I'm going to hit on a few. The kind of the few that I want to hit on was James Wilder, Dante Fowler, Matthew Thomas, and Dalvin Cook.

And I don't know if people are going to be interested in this

the way that we tell it or not.

So we have plenty more stories that we can continue to share but these were a few and the reason why I want to talk about James Wilder is because I think it kind of him and Jeff Luck kind of set the tone for the for what ended up being a 2013 national championship team and I mean they set the tone in recruiting

Jeff Locke and James Wilder made it cool again to go to Florida State. For a while there,

Florida State wasn't necessarily the cool team, but the tide started turning

with their commitments.

And what sticks out to me about James Wilder's recruitment

was, this was before I was started at NOLS 24-7. I was still with elite scouting services and working on the other

side of the industry. And I was at the Plant Spring Game. It was at Robinson High School and Eddie

Gran was there and we're standing down on the track and he was telling me how James Wilder was going to go to
