Hey everybody, welcome to the single tracks podcast. My name is Jeff and today Matt and I are

going to be talking about crankworks. Well, really mostly Matt is going to be talking about

crankworks. If you don't know, crankworks is a 10-day mountain bike festival held at the Whistler Bike Park in British

Columbia each year. And it seems to get bigger and bigger every year. There are actually

multiple Crankworks festivals held around the world. But the one at Whistler is the biggest one,

and that's the one that Matt attended recently. Matt spent several days there covering the event, so I wanted to check in with

him and hear how it went. So Matt, this was your first time at Crankworks. I'm sure you, like a

lot of us, have read all about the event and seeing videos and stuff over the years. So was it

what you expected? It was definitely more than I expected.

I mean, it had obviously heard of crankworks.

But yeah, it was certainly more than I expected.

I didn't realize it was such like an established competition series.

And then now it's an event where brands are debuting a lot of
