| 0:00.0 | Hey, it's Kramer, and this is my morning take on the market from today's CNBC Investing Club morning meeting. Why don't we talk TJX2. Stock hasn't done much lately. It's kind of drifted lower back to the 120s. There has been a little bit of a move up in some underperforming retailers or rotation, if you will, out of some of the retailer like a a TJX, you can put Costco kind of similar here |
| 0:21.5 | that have done so well, have been so resilient year to date, whereas like maybe a target has |
| 0:26.0 | kind of come back a little bit here. Still, you also have a disappointing retail sales report |
| 0:32.1 | last week. And taken a harp by TGX, which made no sense to me. Yeah. |
| 0:37.8 | Well, Cal, when they raised a price target this morning to 145 from 137 after a meeting with management |
| 0:42.6 | and TJX, they left incrementally more confident in the setup for fiscal year 26 and 27. |
| 0:49.5 | Some other thoughts that as prices increase around the industry, it creates a better value gap for |
| 0:55.6 | TJX. They're not too concerned about an increase in rising ocean freight rates. They call it very |
| 1:01.5 | manageable here. But stock has, it kind of, you know, hit a high right around earnings. It's |
| 1:07.6 | kind of drifted lower since then. It's been disconcerting to me, and I'll tell you why. |
| 1:12.6 | Because dollar general and dollar tree are very strong. |
| 1:16.6 | These have historically traded together, and I find that what I felt after reading this was no longer disconcerted, I'd just say opportunity. |
| 1:25.6 | Opportunity to buy. I would buy it right here. |
| 1:28.8 | Yeah, certainly a company that plays the UPOD game of under-promising and over-delivering. |
| 1:34.0 | We've seen that countless times when they report. They tend to beat earnings on the high end, |
| 1:39.2 | even of their guidance, but then the guidance for the next quarter, kind of in line or a little |
| 1:43.5 | bit lower, but again, just a strong track record, kind of in line or a little bit lower, |
| 1:46.5 | but again, just a strong track record of... Yeah, I mean, I would say I thought candidly, it's bottom here. It's going down to here. |
| 1:51.9 | We have our meeting Wednesday. I would say now this is, along with Capital One, |
| 1:56.8 | cocktail. Start your day with my outlook on the market every morning. |
