Jim Kramer here to share with you a sample of my take on the market from today's

0:07.0

CMEC Investing Club warning meeting.

0:09.0

Jim, we've pointed out before a lot of consumer-oriented stocks have been going down.

0:16.0

We would like to see some jobs data to kind of give it, make us feel a little bit better about the health of the labor market.

0:22.9

But at least we got ADP this morning.

0:25.5

Private employers added 42,000 jobs in October.

0:28.8

Better than the 30,000 gain expected.

0:31.5

And it's a nice turnaround from September's losses.

0:35.2

We are kind of flying blind here without data due to the shutdown,

0:39.3

but at least some encouragement there, I would think. Yeah, look, I also think that there are

0:44.9

companies that are taking action. When I speak to McDonald's, they're very well-in company,

0:49.4

and they realize they had to cut price. Most guys won't cut price. COVID didn't cut price.

0:53.7

Chipotle didn't cut price. McDonald's cut price, the stock does it well. I think the companies

1:00.0

that take action, a company like lemonade, which is cutting the price for insurance. I think

1:05.0

that's rather remarkable. That's been one of the stickiest most, you know, really something that's been

1:10.0

intransigent. Carvana cut price for used cars. We're getting

1:13.6

some bargains in response that I think are going to drive the CPI lower. So I think that once

1:19.7

tariffs, if you view them as one time only, work through the system, I think, look, Jeff,

1:24.7

I think there's going to be a lot to like. But that's such a full review that I'm espousing and we're trying to do it tonight on the show that I don't think anyone's buying it yet. But when you speak to McDonald's, they are joyous. They realize they lowered price and it's working. I hope that Starbucks does lower price. I know they've got a less pricey offering, but if they're going to get their stock above 85, 90, they got

1:46.5

a cut price.
