CBC Investing Club morning meeting.

Now let's just talk about Home Depot, Drus Day, graded by Stiefel.

Now if you think that rates are not going to be cut, I'm going to agree with this.

I'm going to say that makes a lot of sense.

If you think grades are going to be cut, this is going to be the dumbest call ever. Why?

Because the first thing that happens is you go to Home Depot to either do remodeling,

replacement of a home that you just bought. I don't have an answer for the ICE situation.

I've worked on that. I mean, if there really are, if there are people who are hiding at Home Depot,

who are agents of the federal government, who arrest people, that is going to hurt Home Depot.

I admit that. I don't have an answer for that. But I do have an answer for Home Depot in general,

which is that it's a terrific company. It'll figure it out. Right. And we spent some time talking about

Home Depot. It's hard because spent some time talking about Home Depot.

It's hard because the near-term setup is tough because of where mortgage rates are and where

interest rates are.

And we acknowledge that and that's part of the reason for the Stiefel downgrade.

But there's just so much pent-up demand in the housing sector for home improvements.

Oh, my God. Once you have existing home sales

pick up again, what's the first thing you do when you buy a new home? You likely remodel it.

So that's where we are long term. But they report earnings next week amongst a host of companies.

You're going to see a headline number's not good. Yeah. See what they have to say about how their inventories are. We'll also hear from TJX next week. They report Wednesday before the opening bell. Last time it was the first time I remember we had a huge spurt when they reported it. I was surprised. Yeah, I mean, keep in mind, they tend to beat on the high end of guidance, and then the new guidance is always a little bit of a mess, but it's just a big U-Pod story.
