Summary
In this interview we sit down with Craig Ballantyne The Best-Selling Author of "The Perfect Day Formula" as well as a 7-figure entrepreneur & Transformational Coach!. To date, his clients all over the world have cumulatively generated over $250 Million in their businesses & have featured some of the most respected entrepreneurs on the planet, including Bedros Keuilian (700+ Gym CEO of the Fit Body Bootcamp Franchise) & Joel Marion ( "The Entrepreneur who went from $0-$100 Million in 18 months) just to name a few.
Craig's life story is a perfect example of how the Perfect Day Formula works. Once a victim of crippling anxiety, Craig used his 5 Pillars of Success to create clearly defined goals and action plans leading him to overcome his obstacles and build multiple seven-figure businesses.
Considered by many as one of "the most disciplined people in the world," Craig & I went in deep in this interview about peak performance, schedule management & the difference in daily routines between people who are fit vs fat, productive vs "stuck" as well as the difference that he's seen in the research & science between people earning 5,6,7,8 & 9 figures in their business. The most interesting part is that although their impact & income is MASSIVELY different, the truth is that the daily disciplines are only slightly different!

Can you talk a little bit about the book because we know you focus on high performance? Yeah. Talk a little bit about why you wrote the book and why you think it's been such a hit. Well, I wrote the book because I needed the book. So I was struggling with anxiety attacks back in 2006 and I realized I need more structure in my life. And I know most people are thinking, I don't want more structure in my life. I don't want this. Trust me, true structure brings you true freedom in your life. Because I was so out of control. I was working too much. I was having too much fun in the big city of Toronto. |
| 1:45.4 | And I ended up in the emergency room a couple of times because of that lifestyle. And then I thought, okay, here's what I need to do. I need to put a little bit more boundaries in place. I need to have end time up to my day. I need to have a little bit more systems. And that was then, oh my goodness, I need to share this with all these people. |
| 1:41.5 | So I started coaching other entrepreneurs. |
| 1:43.2 | It helped them get clarity and boundaries in their life. Their businesses started taking off. And I was like, okay, I can't just do one on one. I need to go and take it to the world. And so now I like to say like this truly is my life's work in a book. That's incredible, man. And then what age was it where you realize, like, man, I really need to turn this around? It was, I was 29 years old. And then I was successful. I got very fortunate that I kind of grew up with the internet when I went to college. That was the first year. They had email at the college. And so everything, I was one of the first people in there. So there wasn't a lot of competition when I |
| 2:34.2 | started selling my fitness programs back in the early 2000s. And I was able to build a six-figure |
| 2:39.1 | business, stop being a personal trainer, build a seven-figure business without too much work. Wasn't |
| 2:44.9 | crazy. It wasn't crazy competitive like it is now. And I guess I just kind of over-celebrated a bit. |
| 3:07.8 | But I was working. I was working all the time. I was, you know, having fun all the time. And like I said, it caught up to me. I wasn't 20 years old when I maybe could have got away with it. And that's when that anxiety hit. Nice. And then was it right away that you realized discipline equal freedom? Was it sort of an experimentation process? I mean what was it like to go from that situation to then kind of find your rhythm? I think that it wasn't until a couple years |
