It emerged today that the number of asylum seekers arriving in Britain via dangerous small boat

crossings has hit a new milestone.

According to official figures, over 50,000 migrants have crossed the channel since Labor took

office 13 months ago, representing an acceleration in the rate of arrivals. You'll probably remember

this major plank of Prime Minister Kirstama's election pledges.

We have to stop that.
