I thought this was a pretty genius move.

If you remember, it probably was about a year ago or so, maybe longer.

They were talking about Cracker Barrel and the horrible decisions it was making to rebrand its company in a way that a lot of people hated.

And then eventually Cracker Barrel tried to apologize for the rebranding and firing some of the woke people who seem to be at the heart of it

and said that they're really just what you remember them being.

Now apparently they're giving away free gas amid a record high gas prices,

as the New York Post is reporting.

You can win gift cards for gas.

It's not like you roll up to a cracker barrel and they just give everybody gas.

But it is a well-timed promotion, people are saying, because of how ridiculous gas prices are.

I've said it before. I'll say it again within the context of this discussion, that I do think that we're fighting a much better fight than Biden was fighting when gas prices

went through the roof during his administration in trying to prevent, say, terrorism around the

world and Iran from having a nuclear weapon. I can also still be annoyed by gas prices.

Gas prices can still be terrible. And Cracker Barrel is doing a good thing in giving away gas.

I don't know if it makes a lot of people forgive, although I don't hear people talk about that

anymore. I know people who still don't drink Bud Light because of the controversy surrounding them,

people who've, you know, removed other things from their life. But in the world of Cracker Barrel,

I wonder if they actually survived the drama and are just completely past it.
