Well, when we start off with this trade an interesting one

I guess the net's really did want Alan crab. I'm really conflicted on this

I it's rare for me to have a trade where I sit for more than 24 hours and just really have it figured out how I feel on it

And it's a kind of a combination of things I think Kevin pelton did a nice job kind of explaining the parts of it because Alan crab at 12 million

Which is one way of thinking about this because basically

Internickelson was about six million of dead money for about the same duration of time there stretching him but you know

So by the way just to have it up here. So we have it Alan crab who is due

18.5 million this year 19 the next year and then has a player option for 18.5 going from Portland to the nets

the nets sending Nicholson who you'll recall they picked up basically got a first round pick for taking him on last trade deadline

He was due a little over six million each of the next three years outside a player option

Which will no longer be the case because Portland has stretched Nicholson to about 2.8 million over the next seven seasons

So there that sets the stage for what you're gonna say

Okay, so crab is if you want to think about it from in the most favorable terms for the nets

crab is making because they didn't give up any assets in that deal

He's making 12 million a year. That's what they're paying me as a player option on that last year
