Ryan, great to be with this afternoon, talk a little bit, had a few laughs here before we got

We were just kind of comparing our winter storm fern stories. I feel like

everybody has them and hopefully people who are listening to this, them and their families are getting

power and water back and everybody affected as least as possible. Now several weeks into the

recovery, it's kind of time passing by a little bit since it hit.

I guess I'm doing quick math here 17 days or so ago at this point as we're doing the

podcast. You said you're without it for eight. Do you turn into a caveman during that?

Or are we protecting power? How are you with those kind of tools and taking care of yourself?

Because I'll be honest,

Ryan. I kind of have that skill where I have no skill, but I know that. So I try not to do

anything myself in those areas. But my wife was so mad at me. I guess it was that Monday.

We got power back on Tuesday night very quick. It was fine. We were very blessed compared to most people. But on Monday, I was noticing the power pop up at all, a lot of other neighborhoods around me. And I started getting that self-frustration, but also then being frustrated because I was frustrated because it was stupid. And I should be glad for having water and being in a better shape than so many

people. But my family went to a friend's house to shower and do some other stuff and kind of get back in a normal seat. And I just kind of refused. I went, nope, I'm going to sit here in the cold in front of my fireplace and I might cook something on the Blackstone. I might not. And I'm just going to shiver. And I don't know why.
