And our first story is my favorite kind of rising anxiety story.

It's where the industry is annoyed with us.

And in particular, I like it because the industry is so annoyed with New York City,

which I don't live it anymore, but was kind of my home for many years.

This is from Cowboy State Daily. I'm sure you're all reading in regular. But just in case

you miss this article, Wyoming rodeo defenders say proposed New York City law threatens cowboy culture.

You might wonder how a New York City law could have any effect on cowboys whatsoever,

since there really aren't that many.

I guess urban cowboys.

But, you know, it's not a big part of New York City,

but it is true every year at Madison Square Garden,

they have this frigging rodeo.

So, all right, This is a law. Obviously, there were some shenanigans going on here because it was put

on the New York City Council's New Year's Eve agenda. And it was sponsored by voters for

animal rights, great organization.

And it didn't pass, but as they point out, this wasn't the best time to give a vote on any snake.

So somebody must have snuck it onto that.
