Hi, friends, and welcome to episode two of our new season of Criminal Broads, a true crime podcast about wild women on the wrong side of the law.

I'm your host, Tori Telfer.

I'm looking out the window right now, and there is some sort of windstorm blowing in,

and there is a tree branch literally about to scrape against

the window like a skeletal hand. So this feels appropriate for me to be here talking to you today.

What have I been up to since the last episode came out? Thank you for asking. I've been planting a lot of seeds.

Seeds are the true and perhaps the last way to feel incredibly rich on a budget of $5 to $15.

You can buy so many seeds for so little money. And there is just something about the abundance. It's hypothetical

abundance. Nothing is sprouted. But you look at your seeds and you're like, well, in a couple of

months, I'll have everything from straw flowers to St. John's Wart to my own echinacea for tea,

of course, to tomatoes, cucumbers, and bush beans.

So that's the headspace that I'm in when I'm not researching murder, et cetera.
