Hello, welcome to the All-Out Politics Podcast. I'm Adam Bolton and joining me this week are the Guardian columnist Raphael Bear, the deputy political editor of the Telegraphel Fisher and Sky's chief political correspondent John Craig.

Well, we all hope and probably think that we're coming towards the end of the pandemic, at least as far as this country,

is concerned. But what about government messaging and decision-making on COVID?

Are they getting it right? With the Indian variant of the virus being talked about as a potential

threat to the June 21st grand reopening, we'll look at the options facing the government and the Prime Minister.

And travel summer holidays, where should you go? Where shouldn't you go? Should India have been

added to the red list sooner? We'll explore that as well.

And what exactly are the rules on travelling somewhere on the Amber list after a week of rather mixed messaging?

It's not in legislation. This is guidance from the government. You know, we haven't legislated to ban people from going on holiday at all. This is guidance.

And as in many of these things that we've

had throughout the pandemic, this has been about really allowing on the great British public,

you know, relying on them being sensible and looking at the guidance that we put in place

and taking their own decisions, really. But no, we wouldn't advise going on holiday to the amber list countries.
