I don't know where to start or where does I know where I'm going to start.

Thank you all of those who tuned in to the live stream show last week. We got loads of people tuning in.

We've got more than a hundred live questions during it. And for those of you who weren't there, and if you weren't there, why? Outrageous.

I know you've got lots to do and the running and the wine and hot baths, but this is a priority.

Anyway, what we did was I reflected a bit. It was the day of Biden's inauguration, And I looked at the Kinnock speech that Biden stole famously for his earlier candidacy in the late 1980s. The Kinnock speech from the 1987 election.

And it was fascinating for me to dig it out and read again.

It is brilliant.

Whatever you think of Kinnock, there was a poetry to it.

It's the one about why was I the first Kinnock of a thousand generation of Kinnock's to go to university.

And it was a poetic attempt to regain an argument about the state which Labour had lost

to Margaret Thatcher. He was trying to show that the state could be used to fulfill potential

rather than, as she argued, to basically stifle anything and was a sort of force against freedom. She won hands down that

ideological debate. It was so interesting that Biden stole it in his ideological battle against the

Reagan America of the time. Anyway, we talked about that a lot. That got us on to Kier Stama and that got us
