Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk Radio. It's another big week in the land of common sense as we try to unpick the complicated world of coronavirus, of illegal immigration, of working from home.

And while we're already hearing there could be a problem reopening schools next week.

We've had another weekend of mixed messages, confused instructions and contradictory behavior from the powers that be, while one police forced Charles onto a child's birthday party

garden to issue fixed penalty fines. Another was busy taking the knee and posing with

a group of wealthy individuals and their supercars. There have been more illegal raves, more

quarantine orders, more dire warnings about spikes of virus infection, and yet

nothing really seems to be changing. Do you feel any different now than you did last week or the

week before that? Do you feel as if you're in any more danger? We've had a massive debate over the

weekend on Twitter about working from home after Richard Tice talked to us last Friday and basically

said that he believed it was

tied to with a tax on those people working from home. So far, 300,000 people have watched the

little clip. Loads of loads of people have watched it on YouTube as well. And yet, nobody can

seem to agree on what to do. Today, we will be tackling the subject we started talking about

last week. Why on earth are we treating COVID-19 as we

did back in March? Why are we stuck in a coronavirus time warp? And why are we so determined to go

back to the future? Why are people who returned from Portugal on Friday having to stay home

for 14 days when those who came back a day later don't? It's strange, isn't it? Why is Chief Medical

Officer Chris Witty now warning that children must go back to school when he was the one recommending that school should be shut in the first place? It's also inconsistent. So we will be seeking an answer for a consultant Dr. Waka Rashid, a man who's just written a piece for The Spectator in which he basically says, why are we treating COVID-19 as if we know no more about it than we did back four months ago?
