big ten media days um this is such a a different environment than when you came to Big Ten Media Days one year ago

after school record for conference wins, school record for wins. You've got the top 10 finish

for the first time since 1967. How have you seen the way that Indiana football is being discussed

change across the last 12 months.

Well, I think people know who we are.

Right.

There were who we're playing and scheduled to play.

And, you know, I think there's a lot of respect out there for what we got done.

I mean, it was best record in school history, 126 years.

So, you know, here we go again. But you got to start over.

Every team in America got to start over, regardless of how you did the year before. You know,

it's like building the house. You got to start with the foundation. So you've got to have the

right people in place and have a blueprint plan and, you know, standards, expectations.

So I think we've got a lot of good pieces out there, and now we've got to mold a team.

And then people say, like, you're going to have a target on your back this year.

And I said, does that mean we can't hunt too?

We can't hunt anymore?

Right, right, right.

So it's all good.

I love that mentality. One of the things you made a lot of waves of some comments that you said, including when you first took the job, you were introduced at the basketball game, and you called out everybody, Purdue, and then Ohio State and Michigan. How much was that of we have to change our mindset of what we believe we can do versus you actually thinking you could do it and do it in
